The curved, or Cranked Rough-out Bar uses the same 3/16" cutter found on the stock strait bar that comes included with the Lighting Hollower. This cranked bar bayonets into the socket on the laser frame and will allow you to hollow low, proportionally broad forms. You will be able to snake the tool into the opening of a vessel to get a flat top and shoulder like the relatively low, flat profiles that define many of the popular pottery forms made by Native Americans of the southwestern United States.

The Cranked Scraper Bar is a must if the opening of your vessel form is wide enough for people to see into. This broad nosed scraper is used to minimize the tool marks that are left by the smaller more aggressive, 3/16" bulk cutters that are used on the other two bars. Using a delicate cut the scraper will dance across the tooling ridges and level them out for minimal sanding.
